What runs on the page

Four things, and they are the only four:

• Google Analytics 4 (property G-ZK11Y93607). Sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your page URL, referrer, approximate location derived from your IP address, and coarse device and browser details. It is used to see which pages get read. Google is the processor, and its handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out for every site with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking the script.
• Microsoft Clarity (project s3yar70zqn). This one records how pages are used: pointer movement, clicks and scrolling are replayed as a session recording, and the same data builds click and scroll heatmaps. It sets first-party cookies (_clck, _clsk) to tell sessions apart. Microsoft is the processor, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Blocking the script stops it entirely.
• A first-party analytics beacon injected by the hosting platform at /~flock.js, which records page views on this domain.
• The Cal.com booking embed, loaded only after first paint. It is what opens the booking window in place. If you book, the details you type go to Cal.com under its own privacy policy. If you never open it, it receives nothing about you beyond the request that loads it.

Beyond the cookies those set, the site itself stores one value in your browser's localStorage, under the key theme, remembering whether you chose light, dark or auto. It never leaves your device and is not read by anything else.

The ask field

Questions asked here are stored in a log, whether you typed them or clicked one of the suggested ones, together with a salted one-way hash of the network address they came from. The address itself is never stored, and the hash cannot be reversed to recover it.

Questions this site cannot answer from its own pages are sent through Lovable Cloud's AI gateway to Google's Gemini model, which drafts the short answer shown on screen. The model receives the question and the site's own content, nothing else: no address, no cookie, nothing identifying you.

The log exists so I can see what visitors ask and write better answers. It is not shared, sold, or used for advertising.

What does not run

No advertising or remarketing tags. No social pixels. No A/B testing. No fingerprinting. No email capture. Videos are linked to YouTube, so nothing from YouTube loads until you deliberately follow a link.

Logs

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes request metadata such as IP address and user agent in order to deliver the page and to filter abuse.

One file keeps its own log. llms.txt is the file written for AI crawlers to read, and every request for it records the user agent that asked, the time, and a salted one-way hash of the network address, in the same form as the ask field's log. It is there to answer a question I could not otherwise answer honestly, which is whether AI crawlers read this site at all. No other page on this site records anything. If you would prefer not to appear in it, do not open that file.

How long anything is kept

Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics, currently 14 months, after which Google deletes it. Email you send is kept for as long as the enquiry is live, and then archived.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to analytics processing. Write to yar@yar.website and you'll get an answer. There is nothing here that makes an automated decision about anyone.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
